| 英文描述 | Caused by the acid-fast organism MYCOBACTERIUM AVIUM subsp. PARATUBERCULOSIS. In small ruminants weight loss may be the only obvious sign, with diarrhea intermittent or absent, because the disease primarily affects the upper GI tract. Usually affects animals 2 years old or older, but yearlings can show signs in stressful drylot conditions. Diagnosis confirmed by histology of biopsy specimen. Hypoproteinemia is common. Has been described as a cause of abortion. |
